PORTLAND, Ore. Tom Brady Jersey Blue . -- Lorenzo Ebecilio scored an early goal as Dutch champion Ajax went on to a 2-0 victory over the Portland Timbers in a friendly Wednesday. Ebecilio scored from a cross by Gregory van der Wiel in the 18th minute. Demy De Zeeuw added the other goal in the 89th minute. It was a rare home loss for the Timbers, who are in their inaugural Major League Soccer season. Portland has lost just twice at home, both non-league matches, while winning all five of its home MLS games. Earlier this month, Ajax won its 30th Dutch league title -- its first since 2004 -- and secured a spot in next seasons Champions League. Ebecilio scored from a cross by Gregory van der Wiel in the 18th minute. Demy De Zeeuw added the other goal in the 89th minute. "Any time you go out and play those types of players, its fun," Portland midfielder Ryan Pore said. "Theyre definitely as good as theyre advertised." Netherlands goalkeeper Maarten Stekelenburg was with the team, but did not play. Ajax started Jeroen Verhoeven in goal. Ajax coach Frank de Boer praised the crowd, which was announced at 18,627. "Great audience, great atmosphere, I can see how a lot of teams have problems when they have to play here," he said. "The enthusiastic crowd can always be a very difficult thing for the opponent." The Timbers rested regular keeper Troy Perkins, giving Adin Brown the start. Brown was caught off-guard with Ebecelios left-footed strike into the upper right corner, and at times the Timbers seemed out of sorts against their Dutch counterparts. Brown got lucky in the 56th minute when Daley Blinds hard shot sailed over his outstretched arms but hit the crossbar and popped up and out. Portland had a chance in the 58th minute off a corner kick, but Eddie Johnsons attempt from a few yards out also hit the crossbar. Ajax defeated D.C. United 2-1 in a friendly Sunday. "Against DC United we didnt play our best, I think this game was very good for our team," de Boer said. "We played total football, with a lot of one touches, always looking for our midfielders and a lot of times we reached them." The Ajax squad also included midfielder Siem De Jong, who scored 12 goals in the Dutch season. De Boer, who as a player won five league titles with the club and another with Barcelona in 1999, has only been coaching Ajax since December when he took over from Martin Jol. Cheap Kenny Phillips Jersey . It wasnt enough to save his season. Johnson was shut down for the remainder of the year by the Marlins, who remain in the post-season chase only in a mathematical sense. Wes Welker Jerseys . Ryan, playing in his first Pro Bowl, completed 9-of-13 passes for 118 yards and an interception for the NFC, which bounced back from a 41-34 loss in last years annual all-star game. Michael Vick of the Eagles started under center for the NFC and completed 5- of-10 passes for 59 yards. Ahmad Bradshaw Super Bowl Jersey . - Jake Delhommes Cleveland Browns debut was a smashing success, just like what the Green Bay Packers have come to expect from Aaron Rodgers. Deion Branch Youth Jersey . Nigel Dawes and Aaron Palushaj scored a goal and added an assist for the Bulldogs which can wrap the series up Sunday in Hamilton. Palushaj opened the scoring 7:31 into the first period on a power play and Dawes doubled Hamiltons lead late in the second period. Jerod Mayo Super Bowl Jersey . The visiting delegation of Indian border patrol forces will include officers from several branches of Indias military, spokesman Geng Yansheng said at a press briefing. Kingston Frontenacs fans showed their displeasure with their teams latest loss in an unusual fashion. German import Alain Berger had a hat trick as the Oshawa Generals defeated the Frontenacs 5-2 Friday night in Ontario Hockey League action. A frustrated crowd of 2,780 Kingston fans, armed with stuffed toys to toss on the ice for charity when the home team scored its first goal, broke with protocol and showered the ice with bears when Berger scored at 4:48 of the third to put Oshawa up 4-0. It marked the first time in the 13-year history of the Teddy Toss at a Kingston game that a goal by the visitors triggered the toy tossing. It took about five minutes for young volunteers to collect the toys, which go to the Kingston Toy Drive. Ironically, some fans stuck to the tradition and when Kingstons Taylor Doherty scored just 40 seconds after the Berger goal, a second shower of toys, albeit much smaller, also littered the ice and resulted in a second clean-up.
