Milwaukee, WI (Sports Network) - Greg Chalmers shot a three-under 67 to take sole possession of the lead Friday after two rounds of the U. Mario Manningham Super Bowl Jersey .S. Bank Championship. Chalmers completed two trips around the Brown Deer Park course at nine-under 131 for only his second 36-hole lead on the PGA Tour, and first in more than nine years. Jeff Klauk, who shared the first-round lead with Chalmers, had a 69 Friday and slipped into a second-place tie with tour rookie Kris Blanks (63) and Chris Riley (66) at seven-under 133. Steve Flesch, Kevin Na and Marc Turnesa each posted 65 to share fifth place at six-under 134. With most of the worlds top players competing at the British Open this week, the Milwaukee stop represents a good opportunity for lesser-known players to make good showings. And this is a group that needs em. Taking four-time winner Flesch out of the equation, the top seven players on the leaderboard at the end of the second round have only two PGA Tour victories among them. They own nine combined Nationwide Tour wins. Chalmers, who earned his tour card by finishing eighth on the 2008 Nationwide Tour money list, has two career wins on the developmental circuit. But the 35-year-old Australian has never placed better than a tie for second in the big leagues, where he is playing full-time for the first time since 2006. Chalmers has needed only 49 putts through two rounds. He took just 25 strokes with his flat stick on Friday, including more than 73 feet of holed putts. "Today I made the ones you probably think you should make," he said. Starting on the back nine, Chalmers made a bogey at the 14th hole. But he posted back-to-back birdies twice after that, including at the 17th and 18th holes to make the turn in 35 shots. Chalmers made consecutive birdies again at Nos. 5 and 6 to take his two-shot lead. It was a nice follow-up to his 64 in the first round. "I really felt like I rode the momentum from yesterday into today," said Chalmers. "I probably didnt drive the ball particularly well, but once I got it back in play, I got up-and-down when I needed to." Added Chalmers: "It was a bit of a battle off the tee for me today but it was a working mans three-under. It marked the first time on tour that Chalmers held at least a share of the 36-hole lead since the 2000 Nissan Open, where he tied for 18th place. He heads into the weekend looking to join former world No. 1 Greg Norman as the only Australian champions of this event. Chalmers said he looked up to Norman as a youngster. "I started playing when I was 13 years old," he said. "At that point that was 1986, so it was right in the middle of [Normans] peak. " The cut line fell at one-over 141, the highest cut in Milwaukee in five years. Eighty players made it to the third round, which means the PGA Tours secondary cut rule will take effect Saturday. Those eighty players will be reduced to the low 70 and ties for the final round. Fred Funk, Rocco Mediate, Chris DiMarco and Rich Beem were among those who missed the second-round cut Friday.Kenny Phillips Super Bowl Jersey . Fielder finished 2-for-4 with a double and a run batted in, while Jason Kendall knocked in a run for the Brewers, who earned a split in the four-game set. Milwaukee has won four of their last seven games. Ben Sheets earned a no-decision, despite pitching six solid innings. Official Wes Welker Jersey . They, however, could experience a second slowdown in the later half of the year. Major developed countries, especially the US whose growth is most critical for the world economy, are likely to witness a remarkable recovery. Jerod Mayo Jersey . Both advocates for and opponents against revaluation of the Chinese currency should reconsider their stances in view of this important function of Chinas $2.4 trillion foreign reserves. Management of the worlds largest sum of forex reserves is closely watched, especially amid the global recession. Mario Manningham Jersey . Thomas, who struggled in 2009-10 after winning the Vezina Trophy the season before, has been in net during Bostons four-game winning streak, allowing just three goals on 136 shots. I did put enough thought into it that I really wanted to have a good game, get the crowd behind me, Thomas said.BenJarvus Green-Ellis Jersey Super Bowl ." It was widely reported for several days that Wilson verbally agreed to terms on a four-year contract over the weekend after contemplating the teams offer for a few days. (Sports Network) - A loss by the Sabres last night as them in quite a fight for the Eastern Conferences final playoff spot. That is a battle the Rangers dont want to be a part of. Seventh-place New York aims to extend a seven-game point streak tonight and deal Buffalo a critical second straight loss in a matchup between the playoff- hopeful clubs at HSBC Arena. The Rangers are 6-0-1 in their past seven games and two points behind the sixth-place Canadiens with six games to go and a game in hand over Montreal, which visits Carolina tonight. The Sabres also have six games left on their schedule and are two points back of New York, but are also just three ahead of the ninth-place Hurricanes. Also lurking behind the Sabres are the Maple Leafs, who pulled to within five points of Buffalo after besting the club, 4-3, on Tuesday night. Thomas Vanek, Jason Pominville and Rob Niedermayer scored goals and Ryan Miller came up with 31 saves, but the Sabres were denied a season-best fourth straight victory and allowed the Maple leafs to stick around in the playoff race. We got off to a rough start tonight, said Buffalo head coach Lindy Ruff. We made some mistakes and werent able to come back. We were pushing to get the offense going all night. A return home could help the Sabres, who arre 6-1-2 in their last nine in western New York. BenJarvus Green-Ellis Authentic Jersey. The Rangers, though, have taken five of their last six on the road and began a four-game road trip with Saturdays 1-0 victory at Boston. Henrik Lundqvist turned aside 26 saves for his NHL-leading and career-high 11th shutout of the season, his second in his last three games. Lundqvist helped the Rangers bounce back from a shootout loss to Ottawa last Thursday by posting his 35th career shutout in his 400th regular-season game. He was at his best in the third period, when New York was outshot, 12-1. We were ready for this one from the moment we stepped on the ice, said Lundqvist. We wanted to bounce back from our last loss with a good effort and we had that today. Rookie Derek Stepan scored his 20th goal of the season off assists from Michael Sauer and Vinny Prospal. New York won its first two meetings with Buffalo this season before the Sabres countered with a road victory in the last matchup on March 1, getting 29 saves from Miller, who is 12-5-2 with a 2.36 goals-against average in his career versus the Blueshirts. Buffalos victory was its seventh in its last 11 versus New York, which has won two of the last three at HSBC Arena. Lundqvist is 8-7-2 with a 2.52 GAA in his career against the Sabres.
