NYCCAD MISSION STATEMENT To improve, protect, and maintain the equal rights and the quality of Deaf individuals’ lives through education, advocacy and community involvement. A brief NYCCAD history: NYCCAD was established by a group of concerned NYC Deaf residents who came together in the 1970’s to ensure a voice for the Deaf community. NYCCAD has supported the protection of Deaf consumers’ rights to fair legal access, education and employment by supporting related legal precedents or other involved organizations.
