Job Description
The City of Garrett Police Department currently has several Reserve Police Officer positions available. Garrett is located in Ellis County, 30 min south of Dallas on I45 with our city limits adjacent to Ennis and Palmer. We are currently looking for Reserve Officers with a desire to serve the community, volunteering a minimum of 20 hours a month. Garrett is a small community that holds opportunities for officers seeking experience fresh out of the academy, as well as seasoned officers. Garrett PD is a growing department, we are continuing to improve our department with in-house training, FTO program and equipment upgrades. Upon acceptance as a Reserve Officer you will FTO with one of the full time officers. Upon finishing FTO you will be released to work on your own. Additional Information
Interested applicants must be a minimum of 21 years of age, hold a TCLEOSE Peace Officers License or 1 month from Police Academy graduation/taking TCLEOSE Peace Officers Test. Must pass a Physical, Psychological, Drug test, and criminal background investigation.
